2. Children’s Privacy

Protecting children’s privacy and safety is a core priority for Fluentkids.

Fluentkids is designed for children and families, and we strive to comply with applicable child privacy regulations, including COPPA, GDPR and GDPR-K, Apple Kids Category requirements, and other applicable child privacy and consumer protection laws.

We aim to minimize the collection of personal data and avoid unnecessary data processing.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information Provided by Parents or Guardians

Depending on how the Service is used, we may collect information such as parent email address, account login credentials, subscription and billing information, customer support communications, preferences, or settings.

Payment information is generally processed by third-party payment providers such as Apple and is not stored directly by Fluentkids.

3.2 Child Profile Information

To provide educational functionality, we may process limited child-related information such as nickname or first name, avatar selections, learning progress, completed activities, rewards and achievements, language preferences, and age range.

We encourage parents not to use sensitive personal information in child profile names.

3.3 Automatically Collected Information

When using the Service, we may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, including app version, device type, operating system version, language settings, crash diagnostics, app performance metrics, subscription status, and anonymized or aggregated analytics.

We do not use third-party advertising networks or behavioral advertising within the child-directed experience.

4. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • provide and operate the Service;
  • maintain user accounts and subscriptions;
  • deliver educational content and progress tracking;
  • improve app stability, safety, and performance;
  • respond to customer support requests;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use children’s personal information for targeted advertising.

6. Analytics and Service Providers

We may use carefully selected third-party service providers to help operate and improve Fluentkids. These providers may process limited data on our behalf under contractual privacy and security obligations.

Examples may include providers for cloud hosting, authentication, subscription management, analytics, crash reporting, and customer support.

Depending on app configuration and platform usage, providers may include services such as Apple, Google Firebase, RevenueCat, and cloud infrastructure providers.

We aim to configure these services in a privacy-conscious manner appropriate for child-directed services.

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain subscriptions and accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

When data is no longer required, we aim to securely delete or anonymize it.

11. Third-Party Platforms and Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases made through app stores or third-party platforms are governed in part by the policies and terms of those providers.

For example, Apple subscription billing and refund handling are managed according to Apple’s policies.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When material changes are made, we may update the “Last updated” date, publish updated versions on our website, or provide in-app notice where appropriate.

Continued use of the Service after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
